MBCHB, PHD: Chairperson

Prof Musoke is a founding member of ANECCA. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health at Makerere University College of Health Sciences She did her infectious diseases fellowship at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Ohio and a pediatric residency at University of Louisville, Kentucky USA   She is well grounded with paediatric HIV and has conducted multiple perinatal HIV prevention clinical trials with the Makerere University John Hopkins University (MU-JHU) collaboration, including the landmark HIVNET012 study. Currently she is the principal investigator for MU-JHU and has conducted pediatric antiretroviral treatment and operational research for implementation of prevention of mother to child HIV transmission (PMTCT).   Professor Musoke is the vice chair of the Uganda National PMTCT committee and chair of the national pediatric antiretroviral therapy subcommittee.
