ANECCA is a catalytic organization that supports delivery of innovation and an incubator of emerging best practices. The network aims to support the improvement of the quality of life for women, children, adolescents and young adults in Africa. ANECCA uses the MNCAH platform to ensure integration of paediatric and adolescents HIV services. We seek to build and strengthen the capacity of implementing partners necessary to catalyze efficient and effective MNCAH, paediatric and adolescent HIV service delivery. ANECCA continues to collaborate with partners to shape policies, influence service practice, advance knowledge, leverage technical assistance and transfer of best practices.
The organization is registered in Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Niger, and Burkina Faso and has focal persons in 15 other countries across Africa. Its headquarters are in Kampala with a sub-regional secretariat in Dakar, Senegal.
For over 16 years, ANECCA has collaborated with local, regional and global partners to advocate for a holistic HIV response through recognizing that children and adolescents affected by HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa were largely neglected by most health programs care programs and systems.
